Vanessa Kjeldsen began her acting career as Glynda in The Wizard of Oz at Center Stage in Austin, TX, at age five. From there, she was cast in roles ranging from Tiny Tim in a Christmas Carol to Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast and the witch in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
She later segued into film and PSA work including Angels Sing, directed by Tim McCanlies and Ronald McDonald House Charities. Vanessa has continued her training through local luminaries including Donise Hardy, Mona Lee Fultz, Toni Cobb Brock and Sally Allen, as well as having performed in Zach Scott Theatre’s Pre-Professional Triple Threat program.
Vanessa also actively posts to her own youtube channel in fashion and beauty, with more than 20,000 views. Her skills include voice, improv, competitive swimming in all four stokes (Junior Olympian), dance (ballet, jazz, musical theater), horseback riding, clarinet, and videography and photography, among others. She is excited to be a member of the Keepin’ It Weird cast, an Austin-based youth comedy troupe.
